i took this polaroid yesterday in front of the new beverly cinema. i am selling large prints of it. they will be 16 ½ inches by 20 inches large, and they are being printed by Umico Printing and Framing in Atwater Village. they’re a great shop.

los angeles is a magical city. seeing the destruction that the 2025 fires have brought upon the beautiful people of this city has been harrowing. we’re all in this together though, and i’d like to help out in any way that i can — 50% of the proceeds of this purchase will go to the LAFD Wildfire Emergency Fund. i am lucky that i’m still able to be working at the coffee shop but i get more than half of my income from Shambling History videography gigs, which have almost all but come to a stop at this time.

i think the imagery of the new beverly’s marquee with its message of solidarity bathed in the LA sun is a perfect little snapshot of lots that i love about this city. the togetherness, the artists, the glow.
